Letter from the Principal

Mrs. Debbie Perkins

Welcome to St. Barnabas Catholic School!

St. Barnabas Catholic School has been committed to educating children in grades K-8 on the southside of Indianapolis since 1965. Its rich tradition of growing children in mind, heart, and spirit is supported through the stewardship of our parish community. CHRIST is the reason for our school, and our school community daily practices Compassion, Honesty, Respect, Integrity, Service, and Thankfulness.

Our 630 students are served by a full-time faculty of 34 and a supporting staff of 12. Our Catholic faith is the foundation for all actions and the students use their talents to grow academically, spiritually, and through service to others. They reach out to the school, the parish, the community, and the world in order to become better people.

St. Barnabas School was named a No Child Left Behind Blue Ribbon School in 2004 by the United States Department of Education and has built on the strong academic success each year through the TAP (Teacher Advancement Program) in place since 2002.

If you would like to be part of the St. Barnabas School family, please call 881-7422 to schedule a visit.

St. Barnabas Academic Program

Our academic program offered to children in grades kindergarten through grade 8 is challenging and comprehensive. Students at Saint Barnabas have consistently ranked in the upper percentiles of standardized achievement tests that are administered annually. Saint Barnabas School is fully accredited by the Indiana State Department of Education and accredited by the North Central Association (NCA).
